PROPERTY TAX APPEALS

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING

This office provides assistance to constituents of the 17th Cook County Board district in the appeal of their property tax assessments. This service is solely with filling out the appropriate forms and locating comparable properties. Please note the following before continuing. We will not be able to process any applications that are received later than: October 28, 2013 - 10:47 AM
	Cook County Commissioner Elizabeth Gorman is not a licensed Attorney nor are any members of her staff. We DO NOT represent you before the Board of Review should you request a hearing before the Board of Review. We only assist you in the completion of the necessary paperwork and searching for the appropriate comparable properties.All Appeal paperwork is filed in your name with you as the appellant. You must sign all the forms in your own hand.

	The Cook County Board of Review is a separate body of government with their own elected Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Elizabeth Gorman and the Cook County Board of Commissioners have no authority or influence in the decisions of the Board of Review.

	Cook County Commissioner Elizabeth Gorman and her staff are not certified assessment officials and are only assisting with the completion of the appropriate forms and listing of comparable properties. We can make no guarantee or warranty as to the accuracy or legitimacy of your appeal.

	Any decision made by the Cook County Board of Review with regard to your property tax assessment is NOT appealable to Cook County Commissioner Elizabeth Gorman or the Cook County Board of Commissioners.

	Once this office assists you in completing and filing the appeal forms with the Board of Review, we will have no further information on the status of your appeal.
